Solstice Day!

June 21, 2023

Here we are.

The beginning of the longest day of this year.

And it is magnificent already.

Today we are going to take it all in.

I am going to try and be intentional with my time.

With being outside.

With breathing deeply.

With being present.

With stopping to notice all the beauty around me.

I’ve tried to tag anyone who said they wanted to be part of it. Please join us!!

Let’s add pictures and notes in the comments below about how we are moving through this day.

My feet are planted in the wet grass and the birds are singing loudly. Wrapped in a blanket. Breathing. The sky is starting to fill.

The sun is up!!

Went north and got my toes in the sand and water before work.

Raw and real: Once the regular day started, I didn’t get outside. Not even for arrival or dismissal on the bus loop. It was a full and kinda intense day. And this is the first moment I’ve been outside since this morning. I’m disappointed but also giving myself grace and moving on. So Hannah Grace and I went sun chasing to the highest place we know in our town and just caught the last little bit of sunshine of the day at 8:49. Now to enjoy the twilight outside until all the light is gone at 11:14.

Taking a note from a friend and having a campfire to celebrate today. #stilllight
