Two friends both highly recommended this one, so I grabbed another last minute front row ticket and made a night of it!

First, a quick dinner at Redd with specific directions from Kelly to make sure I had a reservation. My first time there and it was delicious!

I’m still wrapping my head around the story of Frida Kahlo’s life. But I want to share the brilliance of this one-woman show.

Both beautifully written and performed by Vanessa Severo, she uses costuming in an absolutely intentional and captivating way to portray significant, life altering moments in Friday’s life.

It was an honor to bear witness to the product of Vanessa’s unbridled creative self as she reimagines the use of mundane clothing to harness the power of storytelling magic. While the story itself is heavy, the way in which the story is told is full of life and passion and joy.
