Banned Book Club Anyone?

February 27, 2022

Inspired by recent headlines, a local community social media group conversation, and the reports from the American Library Association (ALA) about book challenges being on the rise since September, I’ve decided to start a little project.

To read the books that are recently being challenged. Books for children. Books for young adults. Books for adults.

Why?

Because I want to continue learning and growing.

Because I want to read books fully before having an opinion about them.

Because I want books on my shelves that help me and my children see themselves (mirrors) and better understand the circumstances and perspectives of others (windows).

Anyone want to join me?

What books should I add to my list?
