We Can Do Hard Things: Pressure Washing Edition

September 3, 2021

Today I learned how to pressure wash. I’m self-taught.  It’s one of my new favorite things because it’s so satisfying.  Dirty, then clean.  Here are a few pro-tips I learned the hard way that I wanted to pass along to you:

  • Check the wind direction prior to spraying.

  • Start at the top and work down.  Keep your mouth closed. And your eyes.  Better yet, wear goggles.

  • Don’t drink beforehand.  Wear a bathing suit. And water shoes.

  • Begin arm strength training approximately 1 year prior to project.

  • Get over your spider and web aversion.  They are pressure washing kryptonite. You will make contact.  A lot of contact. It won’t be pretty.

You’re welcome.
