We Are Safe

November 16, 2023

We are safe.

I am posting this with permission to tell our collective story. We are sharing with the hope of being open about what we are experiencing because often this kind of circumstance is not shared for many different reasons, sometimes hidden under a cloud of shame.

But there is no shame in not being okay. There is no shame in asking for help.

Hannah Grace is a resilient force who is a gift to the world. She has experienced a lot of hard stuff, including a significant trauma at school many years ago that continues to impact her now.

She is navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and relationships. It can be scary and overwhelming.

So we are currently in a process to get more targeted therapeutic support for the next little while.

She is safe and we will all be okay. This is part of our journey, part of our story, and we will continue growing and healing.

We want you to know how important it is to tell someone when your are not feeling safe.

We want you to know how important it is to ask for and receive help.

We want you to know it is not easy. It can be scary to walk through something that’s unknown.

But there are people who have gone before and we can share our stories to light the way for others.
