Saying Yes

October 1, 2022

I used to be a planner exclusively. I hated uncertainty. I wanted to control all the things.

But I’ve slowly been letting go. And embracing the unknown. Knowing I will be okay no matter what happens. That I can make good decisions and trust myself.

I’ve been trying to say yes, even when I’m scared. Embracing more adventure, more spontaneity.

So here we are. The two of us in our favorite city. On a whim and loving every minute. Even the driving-in-the-city-for-the-first-time part.

If you are able to say yes, just do the thing.

Jump on the trampoline. Splash in the puddles. Roll down the hill. Decide on a Thursday to go to Broadway the next day.

Let go of as much fear as possible. Allow yourself to enjoy it. Go slow. Take your time. Breathe deeply. And soak it all in.
